Silkscreen print
Limited edition of 65

Delighted to say I have a new website – same work but laid out I hope in an easy-to-follow manner.  However, I have now donated my silkscreen equipment to a local arts group – this marks a major shift in emphasis for my work.  The delight of screenprinting – producing multiple images – is also its drawback as it is not practicable or sensible to produce a screenprint edition of, say, less than 10 or 15 prints.  The chances of something going wrong are quite high and the investment in good quality paper means that mistakes can be very expensive – if something goes wrong when you are already 3 or 4 colours into the edition, then all those prints are at risk of being lost…this was particularly true when I decided to try some editions not using white at all (thus denying myself a very easy form of correcting a ‘misprint’!).  This method of working was laborious in the extreme as it often needed 20 or 30 colours to produce a dark colour – examples of print editions produced by this method are: Three Standing Stones, Grinton Moor, The Stationmaster’s House at Dent and Ribblehead Viaduct (only 2 left!),
